A Peel L&P Project

Peel L&P is an ambitious regeneration business with generations of history, heritage and expertise in our DNA. First established in 1971, Peel L&P is now responsible for some of the most transformational development projects in the UK today.

Owning and managing 12 million sqft of property and 20,000 acres of land and water, their holdings are concentrated in the north west of England but also own and manage significant assets throughout the UK with a total portfolio value of £2.6 billion.

As a part of the Peel Group; Peel L&P are integral to a business that strives to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Liverpool Waters is included in Peel’s Ocean Gateway vision. Over the next 50 years, Peel’s Ocean Gateway vision will deliver an unprecedented scale of co-ordinated private sector investment.  Ocean Gateway projects embrace ports; logistics; retail and leisure; residential; commercial development; media infrastructure and renewable energy. Signature schemes include MediaCityUK; Liverpool Waters; Liverpool2; Wirral Waters; Port Salford and Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Ocean Gateway is a key part of our contribution to the Northern Powerhouse agenda and the shared ambition to support the revitalisation of northern communities and the contribution of the north to the nation’s economy.

We're Doing Great Things

In 2015, Peel L&P became the first property enterprise in the UK to be awarded the prestigious energy management status, ISO 50001. ISO is short for the International Standards Organisation, which establishes worldwide standards that represent best practice among businesses. The annual savings from energy measures across the Peel Land and Property portfolio since 2009 has now passed £1 million.

Job Creation and the Skills Agenda

The basis of any healthy and prosperous community is access to employment and the development of skills. Peel plays a major role in local communities by creating jobs both directly and indirectly through its developments, and helping to drive a localised skills-based economy linked to future career opportunities.

Charitable Activity

Over the last 20 years, Peel has donated almost £20 million to a wide range of causes that are close to the hearts of our employees. We look to collaborate with charity partners that make a real difference in our local communities.

Customer Service

As part of Peel Facilities Management team our commitment to our visitors, tenants, residents and shareholders is to provide an excellent customer service experience ensuring that high standards are delivered at all times across the whole Peel portfolio.

Energy Management

At Peel we’re proud to lead the way in energy efficiency and management processes. We were the first major UK property group to achieve ISO 50001 certification for our energy management system in 2015, plus the highest-ranked property company out of 29 benchmarked by the Carbon Trust in 2012, and the first developer to achieve the BREEAM Communities standard at our MediaCityUK development in 2011.

Committed to our communities

The Peel Group has a long history of working with communities to enhance the wealth and prosperity of the areas in which we operate. We invest for the long term both in our developments and in our communities. Our vision is built around leaving a legacy for communities who can benefit from, and grow with, our transformational developments.
